Our First Fun Craft Friday 2/15/2013: The Good Samaritan
After this short story the kids then put together the Good Samaritan puzzle and decorated it with lots of glue glitter and colors. If you missed today you missed all the fun!
But you can do the activity at home too! Simply print the sheet located here Good Samaritan Coloring Sheet then cut it into jigsaw pieces and have your child put them together with glitter glue and other decorative elements.
South Cobb Homeschoolers signing off for now but see you next week at our Free Play Friday at the South Cobb Recreation Center!

February/March Upcoming Events
At our last South Cobb Homeschoolers meeting we were able to make some important decisions.
First, I realized that in our first meeting we had students from Pre-K to High School. This kind of age span make it hard to find direction and meet the needs of all learners. As a result I will focus on our early learners (Pre-K to Grade 2).
If another parent would like to spear head a different age group such as 3rd-5th Graders, 6th-8th Graders or High School please let me know.
Second, we came up with some upcoming events and I developed a more clear vision for our club.
Our vision is to train students to be critical thinkers, and "not mere reflectors of other men's thoughts” (EG White). We aspire to follow the Proverbs 22:6 command and train our own children to honor the Lord Jesus Christ and advance His kingdom.

Getting Back in Motion
The South Cobb Homeschool Support Group is still in operation. However, it has taken a hiatus since the founder, Andrea Hall was on medical leave due to complications in my pregnancy. God has blessed and she is doing better now. She is set to deliver on Thursday, October 4, 2012 by C-Section.
We don't want our group to die so in the interim we are looking for volunteers to continue to carry the torch and get some meetings/activities together (low key, nothing stressful).
Here is what we need:
Secretary- The only 2 responsibilities of the secretary would be to check the club email and send out a once a week update on any outings that are in the area (they do not have to be sponsored by our group only)
Vice President- This person would take on the roll of coordinating our activities and meetings until Andrea is back in motion.
If you would like to do that please call Andrea Hall at 404-644-8391 or email schomeschoolers@thestudyhalledu.com as soon as possible. (Hopefully before Thursday :) ).
Thanks for volunteering your services!
