Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association Awards Scholarships

The Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association awards scholarships annually in the amount of $1500, $1000, and $750 to high school seniors through an essay writing contest.

The deadline for entries is March 10, 2015. I would appreciate if you could forward this email to the appropriate individuals at your high school; or if you can provide me with the contact information, I will be glad to notify them myself.

Sixth Annual Scales of Justice Scholarship Sponsored by Fried Rogers Goldberg LLC

Eligibility: The competition is open to High School Seniors and Senior Level Home School Students who are residents of Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb and Clayton counties.

Competition Guidelines: Participating students are asked to write an original and creative essay of 1,000 words or less in response to the following question: “Given some of the recent events in the news, many people think the grand jury system needs to be changed. Does the grand jury system work? Why or Why not? What changes do you think need to be made, if any, and what effect would these changes have on our system of justice?” 

Requirements: 

• Entries for the 2015 contest will be accepted starting March 1, 2015. The submission deadline is April 1, 2015. 

• Essays can be no more than 1,000 words. 

• Submissions must be the original work of the student.

 Essay Submission: All essays should be submitted online via our web site at www.frg-law.com/essay-contest/. 

Awards: A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the Top Finalist, with $500 scholarships given to the Second and Third Place recipients. Winners will be announced on April 15, 2015.
